Zeus Diving Club was formed by Dick Beaumont, Russell Tallet and Nick Hall to develop a group of experienced divers who want to wreck dive in the UK and utilise Dicks dive boat Zeus which is offered free of charge.

Zeus is an Interceptor 38 purpose built dive boat.

All diving activities will be on Zeus and we do not train divers or organise holidays.

Membership fees and or boat fees will contribute to the running costs of Zeus only and Zeus Diving Club will be non profit making and will keep records that prove that.

Our aim is simply to generate a pool of experienced UK divers that get out diving regularly, both at weekends and mid week.
Zeus is insured for normal boating activities but divers are be responsible for their own insurance liabilities if they require them.

To operate Zeus effectively we need to have a membership of approx 30 active divers and we will close off the membership when we reach this number and the boat is adequately filled on the dive days.

We intend to focus on the east coast and currently Zeus is based at Lowestoft but we will move Zeus to Essex during wintertime for maintenance etc, begin the early dive season at Dover or Eastbourne in April according to where the vis is, and then move her back up to Lowestoft in mid May when the vis is beginning to appear.

We believe the East coast Norfolk and Suffolk to offer the best wreck diving anywhere in the world and over the years divers aboard Zeus have found numerous artefacts including 9 bells!

Zeus diving club offers two types of membership Standard and Premier.

Standard members pay £5 a year membership and then 50 per dive day.

Premier members pay £100 a year membership but then only pay their proportion of the fuel used on Zeus that day.Average fuel use is expected to be £100-150 so,for example, with a fuel cost of say £120 and six divers onboard the premier member pays only £20.

The committee decided that the minimum dive day cost to premier members will be £20 to give the club a chance to build up a bit of a buffer against any costs it has to meet, but once the club has that buffer the minimum will be reduced.

Since we are not a training organisation the club will only admit experienced UK divers and all applicants must have a minimum of 20 logged UK sea dives of between 20-25 mts average dive depth and must be qualified to dive to minimum 30 mts.

Zeus Diving Club recognises BSAC,SAA,PADI and NAUI certification.

Zeus Diving Club is not competitive to any other club but rather works alongside other clubs and organisation to offer an additional way to get out diving when they can.It should be especially attractive to groups or individuals within dive clubs that don't want the hassle of booking a charter boat and then trying to fill it, or want to dive perhaps mid week or when it suits them to get out diving.
